- Honey Creek Ridge HOA E-Newsletter
Greetings from the Honey Creek Ridge HOA Board!
The Honey Creek Ridge Homeowners Association Board is made up of volunteers – your neighbors who also live in Honey Creek. Like you, we want to keep our neighborhood running smoothly, safe from crime, and looking good in order to maintain a high quality of life and preserve the value of our homes. We hope this newsletter will provide you with valuable information and resources.
Projects Requiring HOA Approval
Spring is here and many of us are planning home improvement projects! In order to maintain consistency and high quality esthetics of the homes in our neighborhood, HOA approval is required prior to building fences, decks, patios. sheds, putting on a new roof, major landscaping changes, painting exteriors of houses, etc. If you’re planning to paint the exterior of your house, you can choose your own colors and submit them to the HOA Architectural Committee for approval OR you can look through our notebook of pre-approved color schemes. Attached are (1) the Property Improvement Request Form, and (2) The Notice of Completion Form. Please allow up to 20 days for the approval process. Click Here for more information. If you have questions, please contact Rudy Case, head of the architectural committee at [email protected].
Sidewalks
The City of Renton has installed asphalt wedges in some of the major gaps in the sidewalks around the neighborhood. This has been done to help prevent trip hazards where the sidewalks have raised due to overgrown tree roots. The City has also marked, in white paint, additional areas that are potentially hazardous. The Honey Creek Ridge HOA is in conversation with the City regarding this issue and will keep Honey Creek homeowners updated.
New Arborvitae to be Planted
At the end of NE 26th Court, 19 new arborvitae trees/bushes will be planted along the chain link fence. This will provide a greenery screen in front of the fencing and the lower retention pond. Our landscape company, ProGrass, will also be adding irrigation lines (from our existing irrigation system) to keep the arborvitae well watered during the hot summer months.
Real Estate Signage in Honey Creek
If you’re selling your house please do NOT put real estate pointer signs around the neighborhood. This is in accordance with Honey Creek CC&R 5.10. Of course, you may have a For Sale sign on your property, and if you’re holding an Open House, you may put up signs for that day. But please do not leave pointer signs around the neighborhood on an ongoing basis. Thanks for helping keep our neighborhood looking great and not cluttered with signage.
